This Georgian house is a  Grade II Listed Building located near Angel, in Islington. The house had suffered many unsympathetic changes over the years, including the insertion of poor quality casement windows at the rear and an awkward access to the rear garden.

We obtained Listed Building consent to remove the access to the garden from the existing outrigger and create a new one from the lower ground floor, forming a small patio and stairs to connect this level with the garden. With this, we connected the kitchen and dining rooms to the garden, bringing much needed light in this lower part of the house and improving the use of space.

All window openings at the rear were re formed in order to fit new timber double glazed sash windows. Our clients' brief included remodelling and modernising the two bathrooms and the kitchen where we brought elegant, modern finishes and fittings that complement the historic building.
